Easter Learning Week Day 1

It’s Easter Week and our official Spring Break for the kids. I wanted to keep the learning easy and fun this week so I typed up bunch of random activities and stuffed them into Easter eggs. Inside each stuffed egg could be a math problem perfect for our different ages (1st, 3rd and 5th), there might be a fun way to get their body moving like Just Dance, sit ups or bike rides or it could be a family activity such as play a game with Dad or Mom. Some special eggs have extra special awards like cooking with Mom, 1 hour free of Minecraft in Education or extra “Mom” bucks for a special chore. Here are a few examples of our stuffed eggs.

Our Family Egg Activity was Money Math Review. So if you are looking for a fun way review the concept of coins, check out our videos.

“A Penny equals 1 cent. A nickel equals five. A dime equals ten cents. A quarter .25”

Now Grab a hundreds chart and use this visual.

“A penny walks, a nickel Hops, a dime slides, a quarter flies.”

Consider using sidewalk chalk to draw coins and rides bikes to add amounts called out.
