Read for the Record 2018
/Who has signed up to Read for the Record with the Jumpstart Campaign on October 25, 2018? I just received my books in the mail which reminded me to set up a reading event in the community. Yesterday, I sent off a couple of emails to my children’s teachers and ordered them each a book for their classroom. I love this program which is so important for young readers.
This year’s book is Maybe Something Beautiful, How Art Transformed a Neighborhood by F. Isabel Campoy & Theresa Howell. With a splash of color and a pocket of joy ignite your imagination and cultivate a lifelong love of reading with this culture rich story. There are a load of classroom and at home materials to accompany the book on the Jumpstart website! Enjoy, happy reading and let’s Read for the Record!!
